The Hill Top’s seasonal chef’s table restaurant will be inspired by “minibar by José Andrés,” one of Washington DC’s first two-Michelin-starred restaurants.
The Hill Top House food and beverage offerings will be curated by Chef Andrés, the only chef in the world to have a two-Michelin-star restaurant and four Michelin Bib Gourmands, and his acclaimed ThinkFoodGroup team.
The hotel also will feature a bar/lounge, “John Brown,” located at the highest point of the hotel. Visiting the bar/lounge more than 500 feet above the Potomac River on the Rooftop Deck, patrons can be inspired by breathtaking river sunsets.
The hotel will have a Coffee and Wine Shop, as well as Chef Andrés’ particularly romantic version of room service. Most Hill Top House venues will offer “Spa” as well as standard cuisine.
A variety of other options for dining will be available, and several special events and pop-up experiences will take place throughout the year.
The Hotel’s catering operation has been designed to make it one of the top venues for private functions on the East Coast. It includes more than 24,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,000 square-foot ballroom. All meeting and function spaces will feature next-generation, innovative meeting rooms, board rooms and lounges designed to accommodate a wide variety of groups, including those looking for an inspiring and comfortable setting for their gatherings.
In addition, the Hotel will feature extensive outdoor private- and event-function areas, including a grand event lawn with awe-inspiring views of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. The event lawn can comfortably accommodate 300 persons or more for banquet-style events, receptions and other activities.
In context, Thomas Jefferson’s comment on the raw natural beauty of the area is itself “stupendous.”
